About me ~
My name is Stacey Bear and I am an artist and antique dealer and live in an 1812 farmhouse in South Central Pennsylvania.

​I first began making spun cotton ornaments and whimsical dolls in 1996 when I started my business Momentos. Over the years I have taught myself to create my cotton figures with similar methods used by skilled artisans over 100 years ago in Germany. I sculpt the heads from paper clay and carefully paint them with acrylic or oil paint and often use glass eyes. The garments are made of 100% cotton batting which I hand dye. Antique fabrics, trims and lace are added and miniature accessories that I create add a final touch. I love to make Easter, Halloween and Christmas figures as well as Valentines Day, Patriotic, sewing themed peddler dolls and more!

Making art and collecting has been my passion from a very young age. From the first time I picked up a paint brush, built my own dollhouse at age 12 and collected every rock, shell and curiosity I could find, my life has been centered on learning and creating!
