One of a kind spun cotton figure. Hand sculpted paper clay head. Hand-dyed cotton batting and vintage trims. This Santa is based on customs and traditions of the PA Germans or PA Dutch where I grew up. He carries a traditional basket of antique fruits for the good children and switches for the bad ones! I have added hand sculpted pretzels and sand tart cookies both made of clay. The cookies are in a paper mâché bowl decorated to look like Redware. He also holds a batting tree - another tradition. His coat is adorned with Dresden stars. The base is lightly dusted with mica flakes.
